Jane Ward
Jane is the founder and CEO of Tomorrow’s People, operating as Alwyn HR prior to the 2017 rebranding. Her early career experience in HR, combined with her nerdy passion for the latest technologies made for a natural progression into establishing New Zealand’s first specialist consultancy in HR Tech. Jane is a regular guest speaker at industry events where she shares her passion and insights into how to optimise the relationship of human experience and emotion, changing business needs and the digital revolution of work.
Jane has extensive experience in ensuring the successful selection, implementation and ongoing operation of processes and systems to support HR and Payroll - with the strong generalist HR knowledge necessary to understand key business needs. She has worked with a wide range of technologies and industries. Jane's experience, thought leadership and independence in the HR technology space set her apart.
Jane is passionate about providing and enabling flexible and part-time work and living and breathing a truly modern approach to work. In her spare time you might find her enjoying a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, while attempting to meditate to drown out the chaos of her two adorable, energetic sons.
Julie Wieczorek
Originally from Queensland Australia, Julie began her extensive Human Resources career working for a utilities organisation, where she gained experience across all facets of generalist HR as well as undertaking key project roles.
Upon moving to London for bigger adventures, she took up a number of HR consulting positions. Specialising in HR transformation, Julie worked on both process advisory and technical project implementations.
She brings diverse business knowledge across the finance, oil and gas, media and retail sectors. As well as leading some large-scale, global SAP implementations, Julie has worked across a range of other payroll, recruitment and health and safety projects.
Julie’s strengths lie in her exceptional communication skills, and her ability to form strong working relationships with both clients and vendors to ensure the project’s success throughout.
While not working, Jules is kept busy with an active toddler, while making time for yoga, photography and cooking up exotic foods for her friends and family.
Alan Ward
Alan has been in leadership roles in HR in NZ for the last 15 years where he has pushed the boundaries developing innovative solutions and change to achieve key business outcomes.
He has worked across industries in Technology, Dairy, Banking and Education leading HR technology, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, diversity, learning, performance and talent.
Alan is able to identify business needs and objectives and translate these into a strategy and roadmap and then deliver these using the latest HR technology, project management, process improvement and change management approaches including six sigma, prosci and agile. Systems have included Taleo, PeopleSoft, Cornerstone, Workday, Easipay, SilkRoad and Service Now.
Outside of work Alan is in to motorbikes, rugby, travel, food and wine – often combining these internationally. His next big trip, with his very understanding girlfriend and several friends, is to the Rugby World Cup in Japan, with a visit to his favourite Sake brewery and the Moto GP at Motegi all in one!
Rachel Muir
Rachel is Tomorrow’s People’s newest team member who brings with her a wealth of experience working in HR. Rachel previously worked in a number of HR roles and most recently as an HR Business Partner providing strategic HR solutions and leading complex organisational changes. She has a proven ability to manage effective communication and consultation, deliver projects to budget and finding solutions to meet business needs.
Rachel is passionate about technology and takes a committed hands on approach to understand the challenges our clients face and ensure that the solutions are developed and tailored to meet business objectives.
Originally hailing from Taupo, and after a 10-year stint in the UK, Rachel and her husband and two daughters settled in Auckland. Alongside working Rachel enjoys playing social netball, being an active member at her daughters school and spending time with her family enjoying all that the North Shore has to offer.
Sarah Garland-Levett
Sarah joined Tomorrow's People after a stint implementing Cornerstone on Demand at the University of Auckland which engaged her interest in HR Tech. Her academic background, systematic approach and passion for perfection, means Sarah is the chief blog writer and researcher for the team.
Sarah is naturally passionate about improving employee experiences and brings in-depth experience with designing processes, creating test strategies, implementing systems and creating change and training materials. Her excellent communication skills and intuitive ability to problem solve, means Sarah produces innovative solutions for our clients' problems.
Sarah brings that same passion and dedication to her cooking and garden growing past times. Her love of seasonal, fresh produce sees her spending hours on the weekend, cooking up various delicious concoctions.
She also still puts aside time to continue with her academic achievements, having gained her MA in Education Policy Analysis this year.
Fiona San-Garde
Fiona has over three years of experience working in the Recruitment technology space, specialising in delivering Application Tracking System (ATS) projects and implementations. This background developed a good knowledge of recruitment and wider HR functions and a passion for utilising systems to improve processes.
In her previous roles she managed both the technical implementation and updating of ATS at a variety of small, medium and large organisations, including numerous instances where she took the sole lead. Through this experience she has gained understanding of the HR challenges and needs of a variety of industries including Education, Finance, Healthcare, Agricultural, Tourism and Telecommunications.
Out of work, Fiona loves playing indoor netball, spending time with friends and family and exploring New Zealand and would love to do some more overseas travel.
Alexis Farr
Raised in the Rodney District, Alexis moved to Auckland and studied towards a Certificate in Web Design, Certificate in Information Technology and Client Support and a Diploma of Networking.
She holds product certification in Cornerstone OnDemand’s Core Functionality and Applicant Tracking System, as well as the technical stream certifications of “Integration Basics” and “Data Load Wizard – OU and User Data”.
She enjoys being a part of the community and has spent time volunteering with St John Ambulance and Surf Lifesaving New Zealand.
Outside of work, Alexis practices ITF-style Taekwon-Do and was the National Women’s Heavyweight Champion for sparring and the top 8th Gup student at the Auckland North Regional Competition in 2019.
Alexis loves finding innovative ways to solve problems and her favourite part of the job is hearing that a Tomorrow’s People solution is making a client’s life easier.
Kat Alatorre Burns
Originally hailing from England, Kat has a background in supporting the implementation of large scale IT and business transformation projects and programmes, as well as not-for-profit project management on social and economic development projects in India and NZ. She holds a first class degree in Social and Occupational Psychology from University of Manchester and has trained in Prince2, Scrum and Agile project management methodologies.
Kat thrives in agile, fast paced and dynamic environments, and delivering training and project go lives for innovative technology projects. Kat is Tomorrows People’s chief people and project coordinator, helping to manage reporting, budgets, project tools, and social media for the team.
She has a love of travel, languages and working with people of different cultures. She lives in Auckland with her husband, son, dog and cat and loves gardening, yoga and being in nature.
